From 23 – 26 August 2015, the Department of Energy Management, Ministry of Energy and Mines, Lao PDR (MEM) associate with the Japan International Cooperation Agency, Lao Office (JICA) paid a business trip to Vietnam.
The purpose of the mission is to exchange views and discuss with concern ministries and relevant agencies of Vietnam (MOIT, EVN, Institute of Energy, Pha Lai TPP) on “Management of IPP/MOT of Electric Power Projects by government and other agencies including concerned technical standard and other regulation”.
In addition, taking this opportunity, the mission also discussed about the power trade between neighboring countries, Asean power grid, etc.
Laos’s delegation expressed sincere gratitude to Vietnamese experts for the received information as well as for the warm support.
