From 20 – 22 August 2014, Group of EFESk experts (Russia) visited Vietnam (Hanoi) aiming to investigate the possibilities for EFESk Group of Companies to cooperate with Vietnamese power companies in projecting and constructions of high voltage networks of Vietnam and projecting of Vietnam power system development
On 20 August, IE experts and EFESk delegation paid a business trip to Hai Phong thermal power plant, which IE supply the supervision consultancy of construction work.
After having meetings with National Load Dispatching Center and General Directorate of Energy – Ministry of Industry and Trade, EFESk had general picture about Vietnam power system: existing state and perspective development.
On 22 August, a seminar on “Main issues of development of the power system expansion plan in Vietnam” was co-organized between IE and EFESk. After hearing brief introduction about each organization, IE and EFESk discussed more detail on:
– Interrelations between electric power companies/structures in Vietnam
– The role of public institutions in the regulation of the industry
– Normative base for operation and development planning of the electric networks
– How the current planning of development of grid is carried out
– Relations with neighbor countries in the power sphere; existing of planning networks for electricity export/import
– Synchronization of the NPP construction project and development of the grid infrastructure of Vietnam
