Brief description: The main objectives of the National GEF Portfolio are: (i) to provide a framework for the strategic priorities of Vietnam in the period 2010 – 2014 which are aligned with GEF strategic objectives and priorities; (ii) to provide clear guidance to the Government, relevant stakeholders and GEF implementing agencies on the processes of developing, advocating, approving and implementing GEF financed projects in Vietnam; and (iii) to strengthen capacity and coordination among key beneficiaries for implementing the strategy.
