Abstract:
Electricity transmission tariff is currently studied by the Electricity Regulation Agency of Vietnam under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, based on which a regulation stipulating the calculation methods of power transmission tariff on the transmission network will be issued. However, the current caluclation methods have not considered the congestion prevention methods in the condition of inter-connected power market. Therefore, this study focuses on analysing and evaluating different methods for determining power transmission tariff and congestion prevention in inter-connected power market, then recommend suitable ones for Vietnam’s power market in competitive bulk market development period as well as in its higher development levels later on.
