Director General of Institute of Energy promulgated Decision No. 170/QD-VNL dated 24 February 2011 on establishment of Institute’s Science & Technology Council for 4 year-term. The Council consists of 11 following members:
1. Dr. Tran Ky Phuc, Deputy Director General – Council Chairman
2. Dr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, Manager of International Relations Department – Standing Member
3. Eng. Nguyen Duc Cuong, Director of Center for Renewable Energy and Clean Development Mechanism – Member
4. Dr. Nguyen Danh Oanh, Director of Energy Research and Development Department – Member
5. MA. Doan Ngoc Duong, Director of Consulting Center for Thermal, Nuclear Power and Environment – Member
6. MA. Tran Manh Hung, Director of Energy Economics, Demand Forecast, and Demand Side Management Department – Member
7. MA. Vu Thanh Hai, Director of Key Laboratory for High Voltage Techniques – Member
8. MA. Nguyen The Thang, Director of Power Development System – Member
9. MA. Tran Chi Thanh, Deputy Director of Consulting Center for Thermal – Nuclear Power and Environment – Member
10. MA. Hoang Anh Dung, Director of Plainning Department – Member
11. MA. Hoang Duc Thuat, Director of Application Department – Hydropower Center – Member
The functions, duties of the Science and Technology Council are to assist Director General in formulating directions, strategies for science-technology research of Institute of Energy, give advice to Director General in science and technology field for consideration and approval of scientific research outlines, organize commissioning and assessment of scientific research themes, make comments, suggestions to large projects upon request of Institute.
