On 27 October 2012, the Ministry of Industry and Trade issued Decision No. 8064/QD-BCT on approving the “Power Development Plan for the Northern Focal Economic Area up to 2020, with Outlook to 2025” prepared by the Institute of Energy.
The objective of the Plan is to develop the regional power transmission and distribution network to satisfy the socio-economic development orientation of the region of of each locality in the region, ensuring the increasing quality and reliability of power supply.
