In the afternoon of 6th Nov. 2012, at Institute of Energy, Director General Hoang Tien Dung received and worked with the Mission of Ministry of Industry and Trade of Czech Republic headed by Vice Minister Pavel Solc.
At the meeting, Director General Hoang Tien Dung introduced situation of energy – electricity development in Vietnam in recent years, plan of power generation and network development in future, especially demand of coal for thermal power plants and possible participation by Czech Republic in development of power projects in Vietnam.
The Vice Minister Pavel Solc expressed thanks to IE for receiving the Mission in high esteem and highly appreciated information from IE. The Vice Minister provided information on Czech possible study on mining of coal in Red river delta area by application of new modern mining technology of Czech Republic in order to supply fuel for power generation and shared Czech experience on construction and operation of nuclear power plant, introduction of software programs for calculations and experience on operation and control of electricity market.
Both sides also discussed opportunities of cooperation on development of energy/electricity between Vietnam and Czech Republic.
