METI Global Internship Program 2013

On 31st July 2013, Instittute of Energy signed a contract with the Overseas Human Resources and Industry 

   Development Association (HIDA) of Japan to implement the METI Global Internship Program in FY 2013. The main objectives of the Program are:
– to deepen the Intern’s understanding of Vietnam and its economic situation;
– to create an international human resource network by and between Japan and Vietnam;
– to contribute to the operation and task of Institute of Energy and
– to enable the Intern to become a bridge between Japan and Vietnam in the future and play an important role in the future expansion of trade and investment and deepening of economic cooperation.
   After completing all procedures to choose the most suitable candidates, Institute of Energy decided to select three interns from various    Japanese organizations, in which, two interns will have five months probation (from end of September 2013 to end of February 2014) at International Relations Department and one intern will have three months probation (from end of November 2013 to end of February 2014) at Thermal, Nuclear Power and Environment Consulting Center.
    During the internship period, the three interns attended quite many international workshops co-organized by Institute of Energy and international organizations; visited power plants on Renewable Energy, Thermal  and Hydropower as well as biogas farms in the North and South of Vietnam. These activities enabled interns to gain knowledge and experiences on energy business environment and circumstances of the energy strategy in Vietnam, etc…
   On 19th and 21st February 2014, interns had close-up meetings to present their final reports before finishing their internship program on 27th February 2014.
